More than 50 charges — Two Kannapolis men face 11 charges in Kannapolis

After Rowan County sheriff’s deputies accused two Kannapolis men of a number of break-ins in Rowan, Kannapolis police also opened their own investigation. Detective David Miller said the men face more than 50 charges altogether — 30 by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 16 to 17 by the Cabarrus Sheriff’s Office and 11 from Kannapolis. Two good Samaritans robbed of cash, cell phones

The two men told Kannapolis police officers that they were playing pool at the Ball and Cue on South Cannon Boulevard last Thursday night when a man they didn’t know asked if they could give him a ride home. China Grove meth lab bust tied to March raid in Kannapolis

Staff report CHINA GROVE — Local, state and federal investigators raided a China Grove home Tuesday and seized “components of a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory,” according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday’s seizure at 476 Emma Road is related to a March 19 raid of a meth lab at 1924 Troutman Hill Road in Kannapolis. Deputies tie Evelyn Avenue man to second illegal drug lab

Staff report KANNAPOLIS — A Kannapolis man was arrested at his home where authorities said he created a meth lab in an outbuilding outside his home. This is the second time he’s been charged with operating a meth lab. Cabarrus Arms shootout — Police sorting out incident that left one wounded

Kannapolis police are trying to sort out a shootout last Thursday involving a number of people and several weapons. Shelves running low at Cooperative Christian Ministry food pantries

Nationally, food pantries are reporting that their shelves are being emptied faster than they can fill them. As rising food and gas prices and shrinking household budgets send more families to food pantries to make ends meet, food pantry shelves are running low.
