Police seek help in Rushco robbery


KANNAPOLIS — The Kannapolis Police Department is asking the public’s help regarding the May 5 robbery of the Rushco Convenience Store at 604 N. Cannon Blvd.Kannapolis Police officers responded to the store after the clerk called 911 at 10:03 p.m. and reported a robbery.Upon arrival, officers discovered that a young black man, 18 to 25 years old, about 5 feet to 5 feet 2 inches, walked into the store wearing a green, hooded sweatshirt and carrying a long-barreled firearm. The man approached the clerk and demanded money. The clerk gave the man the money. The suspect was last seen walking north behind the store on Central Drive.Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Cabarrus Area Crime Stoppers at 704-93-CRIME (932-7463).
