Raymond Swink

SALISBURY — Raymond Franklin Swink, 64, Salisbury, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born April 10, 1944, in Rowan County, Mr. Swink was a son of the late Lela Hutchins and John L. Swink. He attended Rowan County Schools and was self-employed in the lawn care business. He attended Oakdale Baptist Church. His first wife, Golda Porter Swink, died Feb. 1, 1991. Survivors include wife Linda Wagoner Swink, whom he married in 2004; brothers Bristol Frank Swink, Rockwell, and Daniel Swink, China Grove; sisters Mary S. Menius, Concord, Janie S. Williams, Mocksville, and Ruby S. Williford, Spencer; caregiver Vera “Tiny” Houston. Services were Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Dunn’s Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Robin Fitzgerald. Lyerly Funeral Home was in charge.
