Stephen Goodman

MOORESVILLE — Stephen John Goodman, 27,  Gibbs Road, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008. Born July 23, 1981, in Mooresville, he was the son of Michael Lynn and Kathleen Briza Goodman of the home. Mr. Goodman was in the U.S. Army, assigned to the 91st Battalion Military Police in Fort Drum, N.Y. As a teenager, he was a member of Statesville Police Explorers. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Lynn Daniel Goodman Jr. In addition to his parents, survivors include his children, Veronica Whitney Goodman and Alexander “‘Alex” John Goodman, both of Cary; brothers Thomas Francis, Andrew Joseph and Matthew Vance Goodman; sisters Jennifer Anne and Christine Marie Goodman; paternal grandparents Vance and Hazel Goodman; and maternal grandmother Kathleen Briza. Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville. Burial, Salisbury National Cemetery. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the family.
