Cordie Arrowood
CONCORD — Cordie Measamer Arrowood, 94, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Morningside.
Born Aug. 23, 1914, she owned and operated Flake’s Place Café. She had worked for Willis Hosiery Mill and was an active member of McGill Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Flake M. Arrowood, whom she married at age 16; and son William D. Arrowood.
Survivors include her grandson.
A service was held Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Wilkinson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Steve Ayers. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
