Lucy Kennedy

CONCORD — Lucy Virginia Lefler Kennedy, 87,  4081 U.S. 601 S., died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House.  Born July 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Cletus and Ella Plott Lefler. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant and had worked as a sewer for Shegren Hosiery for 30 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Wilson Kennedy.  Survivors include daughter Rebecca Barbee, New London; sister Margie Taylor, Kannapolis; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A service was held Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Hartsell Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Mitch Wilson. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park.
