Richard Gillon
CONCORD — Richard Wayne Gillon, 81, Washington Lane S.E., died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at his home.
Mr. Gillon was born July 15, 1927, in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Luther and Mary Kimball Gillon.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A graduate of N.C. State, he had been a plant manager at Cannon Mills and Wiscassett Mills. He was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, Kannapolis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Blackburn Gillon.
Survivors include daughters Lara Gillon Gray and and Jill Gillon Herrin, both of Concord; and a special friend, Libby Hunsuck, Kannapolis.
Services were Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Lady’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Rhoades officiating.

Lady’s Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
