Calvin E. Massey

CONCORD — Calvin Eugene Massey, 53, formerly of Concord, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Sunrise Health and Rehabilitation, Nebo, after being in declining health for several years.
Born Sept. 1, 1953, in Concord, he was the son of the late Verlene Johnson Massey and Luke Hendrix. He was educated in the public schools of Cabarrus County.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Neal.
Survivors include his brothers, Luther Ray Massey, Charlotte, and Dennis Elton Johnson, Hopewell, Va.; and sisters Linda Massey Shoemake and Novella Dinah Massey, both of Charlotte.
A service was held Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Kelsey Funeral Home, Concord, conducted by Elder Nicole Massey Clark. Burial, Rutherford Cemetery, Concord.
