Crawford Corriher


CHINA GROVE — Crawford Hale Corriher, 98, 525 Corriher Gravel Road, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Born June 11, 1909, in Rowan County, he was son of the late James E. and Mary Sigmon Corriher. A dairy farmer, he had a rural milk route for many years. He ran a saw mill, as well.
He was a member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ and attended Farm Life School.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Beaver Corriher, in 1985.
Survivors include wife Helen Lowder Corriher of China Grove; sons Lanny and Barry Corriher, both of China Grove; daughter Carol C. King of Shelby; sister Nanette Seaford of Concord; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A service was held Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Mount Zion United Church of Christ, conducted by pastor the Rev. William Campbell. Burial, Greenlawn Cemetery.
