CONCORD — Joe Bennett Trexler, 78, 761 Firelight Court, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Hunter Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born Oct. 13, 1929, in Anson County, he was a son of the late George Washington and Kate Redfearn Trexler. He was a shipping and receiving clerk at Overnight Transportation in Charlotte. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include wife Peggy W. Trexler; son Wallace Ben Trexler, Texas; daughters Sharon Taylor, Charlotte, and Teresa Mock and Debbie Trexler, both of Salisbury; brother Harold Trexler, Wadesboro; sisters Virginia Burr, Betty Rose Deese and Shirley Harward, all of Wadesboro; and 11 grandchildren.
A service was held Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Hartsell Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Kinney Wallace.
